This position is with Timberline Civil, a newly launched civil and site work division in Washington State. Team members will have the opportunity to contribute to building and expanding the company’s civil operations while working in a fast-growing, team-oriented environment.
Timberline Civil is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator with experience operating excavators and loaders. This role is essential to supporting site development operations across commercial, industrial, and residential projects, and requires a strong understanding of safety, efficiency, and precision.

Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators and loaders on civil construction sites
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling operations
• Support underground utility installation (storm, sewer, water)
• Work closely with pipe layers and laborers to maintain production and accuracy
• Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and site layouts
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all job site safety protocols at all times
• Assist with general site tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators and loaders
• Experience in civil/site construction preferred
• Ability to work around underground utilities and trenching operations
• Familiarity with grade control and reading stakes is a plus
• Strong awareness of job site safety practices
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with GPS machine control systems
• Ability to fine grade and perform precision work
• Experience working in fast-paced site development environments
Compensation:
$32 – $42 per hour, DOE
