StarTouch Broadband Services and its Nevada-based subsidiary, CalNeva Towers, are growing rapidly and seeking two (2) experienced Level-2 (advanced) Network Engineers to provide high-level networking and Cisco network management expertise.

Wide-open opportunity for growth and leadership development for the individual who possesses a strong work ethic and dedication to quality work and professionalism at all levels.

Duties will include assisting in the designing, implementation, documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting of network changes to a privately-owned, multi-state microwave & fiber optic infrastructure consisting primarily of Cisco hardware and numerous RF and fiber optic devices. Experience in a Network Operations Center for an ISP or telecommunication company is ideal.

Candidate will work with a team of engineers at all levels on complex routing solutions, and will act as a technical point-of-contact for a range of tasks for a continuously expanding broadband network.

Schedule is flexible and includes occasional weekends, on rotation. Reliable attendance is required to support your team. This is not a telecommuting position, although remote on-call emergency work will be scheduled from time to time.

POSITION DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

-advise management and team members of risks associated with technologies and implementation approaches
-identify methods of risk mitigation
-conduct problem resolutions
-identify process improvements
-possess a solid understanding of MPLS and related protocols
-possess advanced knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 networking protocols
-configure Cisco switches, routers and networking devices (minimum of 3 years experience)
-coordinate with and support field service technicians , engineering team members and upper management on customer or network issues
-accurately document files and update CRM/database
-use various network monitoring and trouble shooting devices to maintain health of the network
-participate in emergency after-hours, on-call rotation
-ability to speak English clearly and effectively to communicate with customers and team members
-maintain reliable attendance
-maintain organized and clean work space
