Each cribbage board from antler gathered in Montana. Every peg hole is drilled by hand, and sanded and polished for a smooth unique finish. Each cribbage board has a storage compartment built into the base of the horn where 4 handmade antler pegs are stored. Making the pegs is no simple task to make and the process is painstaking. Sanding down antler into about 1 inch pieces that are smooth and won't break takes considerable time. Antler is unique in texture and color so every piece will have a one of a kind appearance. This is due to Deer and Elk shedding their antler every year. Even a matching set of antlers will almost never be identical. Enjoy a piece of art truly made from nature!
