UPDATE (2024): I am embarrassed to say that I may have sold my carefully restored '89 Toyota Dolphin RV to the WRONG person and by some strange luck I have reacquired it. Unfortunately it has sat for 2 years in rainy weather without any maintenance. I want to sell this vehicle AS IS. I am including the original listing from 2022 below and all of photos except for the last 4 photos which show the RV's current state. Please make an offer on it if you are a serious buyer with the capability to restore and maintain the vehicle. Although it currently has water damage, I replaced and rebuilt much of the frame 2 years ago. I'm not sure how much work it needs at this point and I do not have the time to do any more work on it. Although the engine does start up right away with no problems, the person I sold it to claims there is a frozen cylinder in the v6 engine. He replaced the engine battery, but the house batteries were not charged and may need replacing. I left them charging and we'll see if they recover.

LISTING (2022): Just in time for Summer, this 1989 Toyota Dolphin is fully loaded with lots of modern upgrades; solar charge controller, stereo, entire electrical system (AC/DC), back-up camera, PEX plumbing, a new hot water heater, a new water tank, an outdoor shower, and an entire interior remodel. Nearly everything has been well kept and restored. The remodel is 90% done... there's a few projects left; like the bathroom, and a missing external hatch door for the sewer hose. Bring your dreams! This RV is live-in ready and it rolls like champ! It still has the original cab, upholstery, counter tops, refrigerator, sinks, toilet--all of them work great!

Yote is a 1989 Toyota Dolphin RV Model 500 with a V6 3VZ-E engine. It is roughly 22 feet long, and 6'12" wide, and 8'9" tall. The model 500 has a side bathroom, instead of in the rear, and is generally more sought after because of the spacious feel from the open rear dinette. This micro RV is so maneuverable! It is capable of fitting almost anywhere a compact car can park, except for parking garages which are barely 7' tall. It can even make it through a fast food drive-through, although I would not recommend that. This is the perfect RV for 2 people living life on the road. There's only 122,000 miles on the V6 engine and it starts beautifully and runs very smooth--it has never left me stranded. I've talked to many people while on the road who love these RVs. Several people have told me they've had (or family that had) their '89 Toyota Dolphin run over 350,000 mi. One person I met even explained to me how his son had rebuilt the engine and had 450k mi on his. This engine was a year or two after Toyota first started making their V6 engines, and although some of the '87 and '88 V6s had a recall, this one never did. These engines are bulletproof!

Many upgrades and modifications have been made to this RV over the years. I can provide notes, maintenance records, schematics and many documents to help you make it your dream home on wheels. I am also throwing in extra carpet, flooring, paint, parts and other construction supplies if desired. Over the past two years, I was able to nearly fully restore this vehicle to well beyond it's factory condition--a modern electrical and solar system, an infrared backup camera, a boat horn on the roof, etc. But I never was able to finish my work because my wife and I had our first baby last August and we had to upgrade to something bigger. You can be the one to finish the job and have a beautiful, versatile, efficient (12.1 MPG), road-ready micro RV to travel the country side. Here are the highlights of all the upgrades:
