Listed is a Canon AE-1 Program that is in good condition but requires service to be fully functioning. I have never used this camera as it was bought some time ago with the intention of servicing it myself but having a wife and kid have taken most my focus and I never got around to getting around to it. I had always wanted a Canon film camera and I always heard a lot of hype and interest surrounding the AE-1 line and I got this hoping one day I would be able to see how it stacks up to other 35mm cameras I use but it was just one project I never got to finish. I'm also running into bottlenecks with my digital work and need to fund more storage to keep that hobby progressing so I've decided to just pass this along.
I got it at an estate sale from some people who seemed to take really good care of their things, and my impression was that this older couple was retired and no longer doing photography hence why this was not functioning at the time. I don't know enough about older cameras to diagnose but I will say that the lenses aperature doesn't seem to open or close, and I want to say that is the primary issue but I am not 100% sure. I also included a close up of the worst cosmetic damage it has which is a small dent in the bottom left hand side of the camera below the film door, but otherwise it seems to be in great condition.
I'm pretty firm in my pricing as from everything I've researched the AE-1 always retains a pretty high value and I've seen fully serviced and operating ones go for $200+. Might be as simple of a fix as following a youtube video or tutorial on examining the lens and it could be ready to shoot.
Comes with the Canon 50mm FD 1:1.8
I'd encourage you to give it a good examine if you are considering purchasing this camera!
