Bellingham At Home, a grassroots, member and volunteer led organization, under the auspices of the Whatcom County Council on Aging is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated Part-Time Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of its office.
Bellingham At Home is a member of the national Village to Village Network whose purpose is to assist older citizens who wish to remain in their homes and stay connected, engaged and supported by their community; “neighbor-helping-neighbor.”
This position is perfect for a person seeking 10-15 hours weekly employment. The office is located at the Bellingham Senior Activity Center. Knowledgeable and highly trained volunteers work in the office daily. The Office Manager will provide background support with all technical operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day office administration using Microsoft applications and a club-based software program
• Train and manage office volunteers
• Maintain volunteer procedure manuals
• Maintain member and volunteer records, and manage the database
• Coordinate office supplies
• Provide administrative support to Leadership and other committees
• Ensure the office runs efficiently and professionally
Qualifications:
• Office management or supervisory administrative experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and general office software
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and systems as needed
• Diligent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Position Details:
• Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week
• Monday – Friday mid-day flexible schedule
