Alderwood Builders LLC is a residential remodeling general contractor specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations and additions. Our team is focused on quality craftsmanship, accurate project planning, and clear communication from initial estimate to final walkthrough.
Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will support leadership and estimators with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day office tasks. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner
• Prepare, organize, and maintain project documents and files
• Assist in preparing estimates, bids, and client proposals
• Gather and organize material pricing, subcontractor bids, and project specifications
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and timelines
• Maintain and update estimating spreadsheets and project cost databases
• Schedule site visits and follow up on bid requests
• Support project managers with documentation and pre-construction coordination
• Track submitted bids and maintain organized records
• Perform general administrative tasks (email, filing, document management)
Qualifications
• Previous administrative experience (construction or remodeling preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); QuickBooks or similar software is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Skills
• Experience with estimating or takeoffs in construction
• Familiarity with remodeling processes and terminology
• Experience with construction software (Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, etc.)
• Basic bookkeeping or QuickBooks experience
Compensation
• Hourly pay: $22.00–$28.00/hour, depending on experience
