This 1983 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster is straight out of the golden age of Fullerton production — one of the last runs before Fender shut the doors on that legendary factory. Featuring a beautiful 3-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose finish that’s aged naturally over four decades, this guitar has all the honest playwear and checking you’d want from a true vintage-era reissue — nothing faked, nothing forced, just authentic character earned over time.
The “V” serial on the neck plate marks this as a genuine early reissue, built with meticulous attention to the specs of a real pre-CBS Strat: a slab rosewood fingerboard, small headstock with spaghetti logo, and the perfect mid-'60s-style neck carve that feels instantly familiar. The pickups deliver that unmistakable sparkle, quack, and chime — the sound that defined decades of music.
It’s in very good condition for its age, with light wear and lacquer checking that only add to its appeal. Includes a period-correct hardshell case.
