Up for sale is my Vantage VD-500S / NS (natural satin finish).
I bought it new in 2022 for about $450 including shipping. It's still in mint condition. On the label it says made in Indonesia, and the serial number starts with an "S" so I believe it was made in the Samick factory.
The top is solid spruce, and according to the store I bought it from, the sides are solid rosewood. So, wow! Apparently, this series was a special custom run because it's pretty hard to find information about it. It has gold Grover 14:1 tuners, attractive binding, and cool cross inlays on the fingerboard. It's a very attractive guitar.
I think this guitar is made for a larger player. The scale length is 25.5" and it is braced super strong. The neck is on the chunky side (more Guild, less Alvarez). The intonation is excellent. The tone is not as bright as I would expect.
Because of the long scale length, I find this guitar hard to play. If I were a fingerstyle player I might like the stiffness or maybe if I were a bluegrass player who needed a guitar that could take a beating. It's just not made for me.
Cash and local pickup only. I will consider offers.
