There are no dings, paint chips or scratches and it still has the original protection film over all of the plastic pieces. The only cosmetic flaw is a small clear coat crack on the bass side of the neck pocket which it came with brand new. Its not a structural issue, nearly every RG550 has this or will get it in the future, its just the result of having a very tight neck pocket (a good thing) and thin wood at the joint. Aside from that though, its essentially mint.
The refret was a professional job with zero sharp fret ends, no high frets, a mirror polish that will last forever, and frets that will more than likely outlive whoever buys it (perks of stainless steel).
My only reason for selling is because I have an original RG550 in the same color and don't need two. Its a flawless player and doesn't need any tech attention at all. It's currently setup in E standard on 9-42s with super low action but that can be adjusted prior to shipping if desired. Could you buy a brand new one for a little bit more? Sure, but you won't get one as good as this one for any less. This will come with a brand new unopened Ibanez trem arm as the one pictured is borrowed from another guitar.
