Job Summary:
This position is key to maintain sufficient material levels, track inventory, and ship out parts as needed. You would be responsible for evaluating stock levels, ordering materials, addressing inconsistencies, and coordinating shipments. This role requires the applicant to work effectively in an individual capacity, but also possess strong communication skills when coordinating with vendors. The position is for someone who is self motivated, but also a dynamic thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
We operate under a 36-38/hr week schedule. Standard working hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm. There will be a need for additional hours past 5pm from time to time during the work week, including coming in on certain Fridays. Those Fridays will be planned in advance with this position.
There is a probationary period for the first 2 months, with pay starting at $22/hr. After passing the 2 month probationary period, pay may increase up to $23/hr (dependent on performance) and benefits will become accessible. At 6 months performance will be reviewed again and pay may increase up to $24/hr.
Essential Duties:
-Inventory Systems. This includes tracking inventory and maintaining proper inventory levels. We utilize inventory management software to keep a live record of materials. You will be involved with reviewing customer invoices to ensure all parts are available on time.
-Vendor Relationships. This includes upholding a professional relationship with our vendors to facilitate effective order management. This would include sending P/Os to management, submitting P/Os to vendors, scheduling shipments in a timely manner, processing payments, and handling any discrepancies with vendors.
-Coordinating Shipments. This includes tracking when a P/O is ready to ship from a vendor and coordinating with management if pickup is needed. You would be expected to assist with receiving and cataloguing materials to update our software. You would also be responsible for coordinating the shipment of parts to customers as needed.
Requirements:
-Associates degree or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
-Inventory management experience
-ERP/MRP or other inventory software experience
-Strong analytic skills, Excel/Sheets experience
-Knowledge of data analysis, report building, and forecasting methods
-Effective communication skills (talking and listening), strong organizational skills, and high motivation with an ability to multitask
-Must be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time
-Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment where you will stand, lift, stretch, pull, push, carry, stoop, and walk
-Ability to read/write in English
