This bike was called 'The Bike That Harley Built' when it came out.
Reagan admin imposed a large tariff on bikes with a displacement of 700 cc's and over to help keep Harley domestically-made. So Japan lowered the cc's to just under - to 699! LOL.1 cc!
And it turned out the Magna 700 was faster than the 750 I read somewhere...

6-speed transmision, shaft drive, water cooled.
Bike is in very good shape.
Some bolts have surface rust, and it runs a bit rich. It could use a tune up, but starts quick.

Small dent on R side of tank.
No more paying for tabs! - vintage plate (WA).
Forks are straight, no leaks. No tears in the seats.
Changed the motor oil every year.
Great forward nighttime illumination.
Has a luggage rack, saddlebags I never put on.
Also comes with a vintage Japanese helmet that was too small for me.
