Human Resources Manager

Join the Non-GMO Project as the Human Resource Manager and help us shape the future of North America’s non-GMO food supply. In this position, you will be responsible for integrating new and existing staff into our dynamic, growth and development focused work culture. We are looking for someone that embodies our core values and is able to demonstrate them in action. The ideal candidate enjoys making people feel welcome and supported, is a diplomatic and discretionary problem solver, and has a demonstrated ability to coordinate competing priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities

-Maintain and continuously implement and improve a full range of Human Resource systems
-Support the design and delivery of total rewards and talent development programs 
-Coordinate hiring functions including but not limited to full-cycle recruitment, candidate correspondence, and interview processes 
-Help facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
-Conduct onboarding and orientation for incoming staff
-Ensure compliance with federal and state employment law 
-Maintain personnel records 
-Lead the annual employee handbook review and revision process 
-Collaborate on the development of organization-wide policy and enforce when needed 
-Oversee the successful delivery of staff events
-Update and maintain operational documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, and desk instructions
-Support the continued refinement and implementation of document control best practices for the organization and departments 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
-Strong preference will be given to candidates who are aligned with Non-GMO Project’s mission and values 
-3 years of professional experience in human resources or relevant administrative positions
-Proven experience with business administration best practices and/or Human Resource management 
-Proven ability to manage multiple, competing tasks while meeting deadlines
-Ability to problem-solve with diplomacy
-Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment and discretion 
-Trustworthy and reliable 
-Excellent organizational skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Warm, friendly demeanor with a passion for people-oriented service
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
-Familiarity with Google Drive, Smartsheets, and other organizational technology
-Must be able to work on-site in Bellingham, WA
