This vintage cobalt blue glass salt and pepper shaker set was sold by the Miles Kimball Company of Oshkosh, Wisconsin during the1920s to 1940's. They are made in Depression Glass style with an Art Deco embossed pattern in a panel on the front designating Salt & Pepper. The shakers are made of real Cobalt glass and have silver tone aluminum lids that screw on. These stove top sized shakers are square with beveled corners. They sit 4 1/2" tall and are 2.25" square. They can hold a little over 1 cup of dry measure. Each lid has 12 holes on top. The shakers are in good condition showing wear consistant witih age. A few small dings on the lids along with a few flea bites located on the bottom edge, the largest of which is shown in the last picture. This nostalgic set is perfect to use or display any time of year and are both functional and decorative. They are an ideal addition for collectors of vintage kitchen ware and are a great size for stove top cooking.
