The Automatic Lock (FM143) unlocks and locks automatically as the gate is activated to open and close. The FM143 is wired directly to the gate opener's control box, and it is activated by any one of the many Mighty Mule Access Controls, including the Entry Transmitter(FM135), the Gate Opening Sensor (FM138), the Digital Keypad (FM137), or the Push Button Control (FM132). The FM143 provides maximum stability and security on Mighty Mule gate openers, and is highly recommended for high wind areas, and gates over 8 Ft. long. It comes with two keys for manual release of the gate lock.
Bought it for a backup for our gate at our last property, then we moved. We have no need for it at our new place, and it is way beyond the return window.
