We are a small rare and heritage chicken family farm in Bellingham, Washington. Here is an opportunity to raise pastoral rare breeds of chicken that will thrive and be an asset to your homestead and entertainment for your family.
We have always practiced bio-security to provide our customers with healthy and happy birds. We do not have visitors to the farm. We meet for pick-up in Bellingham. We just got tested first week of May for AI (Avian Influenza) and PT (Pullorum Typhoid) and we are free of both and are again re-certified with the NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan).
It's always been part of our commitment to ourselves and our customers to maintain bio security at the farm for the birds we preserve and care for.
We have a chicken sale ongoing now, 10% off the prices below:
Pullets (12 to 15 weeks old) = $45 each
Point of Lay Hens or Young Laying Hens (16+ weeks) = $55 each
For POL (16+ weeks old), we have Marans cross (chocolate eggers), Ayam Cemani crosses, Hungarian Yellow crosses, Spitzhauben, Bielefelders etc..
For young laying hens, we have Barred Rocks, Leghorn crosses, Ayam Cemanis, Spitzhaubens, and some crosses of our heritage and rare breeds like Bresse crosses, Americana Crosses, Hungarian Yellow crosses, Bielefelder crosses etc...
These pullets have been out on pasture for several weeks now. It is just tough to get pullet orders for specific breeds since we are filling orders as we go and everything changes in real time and the birds available now may not be available in the coming days or weeks.
If you are ok with it, our farm manager Matt can choose the birds for your order keeping in mind compatibility of breeds. He will also do his best to pick birds that are brooded together or from the same flock to facilitate an easier transition to your coop aside from minimizing pecking order issues. You can also let me know what breeds you have currently so Matt can keep that in mind for compatibility purposes when he chooses the pullets for you.
Thank you for helping us preserve rare and heritage chicken breeds for the future.
