We re-homed our chickens and are selling our custom A-frame chicken coop for 4-6 birds. This was designed to be a movable structure to expand forage options. It’s made of a welded steel frame with cedar siding on the exposed sides, hardware cloth, insulated sleeping quarters and ventilation holes. We never had issues with them getting too cold without heating even during the big cold snap a couple years ago. The roosting area is plywood but has held up well over nearly 5 years of use. There’s space for 2 nesting boxes - we switched to a plastic crate and filled the other side with pine shavings for easier cleaning and this worked just fine.
It’s really awkward and heavy to lift with 2 people but can be done. We found it much easier to roll on 6” PVC pipes and can be down with 1 able body. We paired this with an additional cover (old greenhouse structure) for extra dry space which we can include if desired.
I did a rough cleaning last fall when we rehomed the birds.
Overall, it’s a very solid structure in good condition for a backyard flock. Let me know if you have any questions! Asking $200 OBO. We are able to assist in transporting if needed.
