Lions Camp Horizon is hiring Kitchen Assistants! Lions Camp Horizon is a summer camp for teens and adults with disabilities operating during the summer months of July and August. We host week-long sessions and provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our campers and staff each day. Our campus is located in Blaine/Birch Bay, WA.
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistants to assist our camp cooks with prepping, cooking, and serving meals to our campers, as well as keeping our kitchen and dining hall clean.
Part-time and full-time positions are available. This is a seasonal position. It is preferred that the Kitchen Assistants be available for all major weeks of kitchen work, although it is not required. Below are the main dates of work for the Kitchen Assistant position:
July 6 - 10 (camp week 1)
July 13 - 17 (camp week 2)
July 20 - 24 (camp week 3)
August 3 - 7 (camp week 4)
We are looking for someone with experience with OR a willingness to learn about how to work in a commercial kitchen, food prep, and special dietary restrictions. Our campers have a wide range of abilities, so the Kitchen Assistants must have patience and compassion when it comes to serving our campers with special needs. No experience is required.
Upon request, we are able to provide a lodging for any kitchen staff that needs it during camp sessions.
