Western Washington University's acclaimed Concert Choir and Symphony Orchestra join together to present W. A. Mozart's final masterpiece, the Requiem in D minor, K. 626. The 35-year-old Mozart composed much of this work on his deathbed late in 1791. He was assisted by a small circle of devoted friends and students, who took on the task of completing the Requiem following Mozart's passing. Since then it has become among the most celebrated works in the choral-orchestral literature. Mozart's Requiem is not only one of the great monuments of the Classical era, but also a staggering demonstration of its creator's genius: irrepressible even in his darkest hour.

This concert is free and begins at 7:30 in the PAC Concert Hall.
