Despite their superior electronics and image, plasma lost the format war with LCD because of cost. They cost more to ship because their screens were glass, much heavier than the plastic LCD's. This was one of Panasonic's top models. The 1080p picture is still topnotch for blu-ray, dvd, and streaming, It's not 4K , but at this size that hardly matters. It looks and works like new and is especially great for movies,.
