The Franklin Academy is looking for a full time Lunch/Recess and Aftercare Aide for the 2024-2025 school year. A lunch/recess and aftercare aide supervises students during lunchtime/recess and after school ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities include monitoring the cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas, intervening in conflicts or behavioral issues, and enforcing school rules. Additionally, lunch/recess and aftercare aides may assist with organizing activities and promoting positive social interactions among students.

Qualifications:
* Experience working with children in a school or recreational setting
* Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
* Patience and the ability to remain calm in high-energy environments
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to enforce rules and maintain a safe and inclusive play environment
* Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
* Ability to work well within a team
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
* Must be able to pass a background check

Professional Responsibilities:
* Adheres to board policies, school procedures, and contractual obligations
* Reports to work on time and as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis
* Reports to the Director of Services and the Head of School
