The Whatcom Museum, located in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, is currently accepting applications for an Education and Engagement Manager. We are a multi-discipline, accredited Museum, with a focus on Art, Natural History, and Pacific Northwest History. This full-time position works directly with the Museum Director of Exhibitions and Programming, along with the Education and Exhibition teams. This position plays a key role working with the museum’s management team to help shape the strategic vision for the museum’s programming and community outreach.

Work includes not only curriculum and exhibition interpretive material development, but also management of the museum’s docent program – with all duties having a focus on aligning education and curatorial objectives. Extensive involvement with our regularly scheduled community programming and outreach, the Education and Engagement Manager ensures an exciting and varied offering to fulfill our mission and meet the needs of the region.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years, full time, responsible experience in program planning and curriculum development in an educational institution or preferably a museum.
