Beloved Subaru Legacy has been driven for many years but it’s reached a point where it needs more work that I’d like to put into it, and I got a more reliable car with better mileage. Could be a great project car.
Its got 208,117 miles, automatic transmission.
The good:
- Head Gasket replaced
- New Tires
- New alternator at 207,800 miles
- Body is in great shape except for a small dent on the front bumper
- Breaks replaced
The bad:
- Needs a new catalytic converter. Not effecting gas mileage drastically but causing check engine light to be on
- shocks and struts have a lot of wear and will need to be replaced.
The ugly:
- rust to the lower body of the car caused the exhaust pipe to crack off at the muffler. It’s currently attached with a bungee cord. The pipe could be welded back on but the state of the exhaust system means there could be other weakened spots.
- The battery is dead and won’t hold a charge. You’ll have to get the car towed off the lot, or replace the battery to drive it away.
