1987 Toyota AW11 MR2 with Blacktop 4age engine swap and Woodsport 6speed transmission with LSD.
Built to feel like a street legal go kart. All though it has not seen the track it would make an excellent Auto X or track car.
It has been a very reliable swap and everything works as it should including the gauges. Makes great power, brand new transmission shifts very smooth, stock ecu. Registered with collector plates, so no more tabs, 164k on chassis, unknown but should be much lower on blacktop engine. Very clean body, a few dings and dents, but very straight for an almost 40 yr. old car. As pictures show, paint is faded.
All the stuff:
Drive-train= Stock Blacktop engine running on stock ecu. Battle garage stacks and Sock filter. Poly motor mounts.
Did the timing belt, water pump and tensioner very recently. Newer alternator, brand new Odyssey battery and battery tie down, (relocated to frunk). Brand new Woodsports 6speed transmission with LSD. Brand new SW20 MR2 Heaven axles. Very new Toda lightened flywheel and Exedy clutch, Brand new master/slave clutch cylinders, Brand new aftermarket header and straight out the back exhaust, (loud for that go kart experience).
Suspension, brakes, wheels/tires= Ground Control coil-overs with Yellow Koni inserts and Eibach springs, Ground Control camber plates, T3 GTX2 front and rear lower control arms and tension control rods. Larger diameter front sway-bar. Steel braided brake lines, newer rotors, (front vented), rebuilt calipers, Hawk brake pads, T3 brake booster delete (for go kart pedal feel) Dot 3 fluid. Brand new 13x8 Panasport knock off Rota wheels and brand new 225/45/13 Toyo R888s tires, Cusco front and rear strut braces.
Cooling= Aluminum radiator with electric fans. Manual fan switch installed in cabin.
Interior= Stripped interior, heater removed (was planning on installing an electric 12V heater some day for a defrost), manual windows, door locks, Bride Max Low seats, T3 adjustable seat rails. T3 door cards, Two's R Us race pedals (great for heel, toe), Jamex steering wheel, T3 aluminum ball shift knob, Two's R Us short shift kit with solid bushings, P2M checkered floor mats.
Exterior= Sunroof model, Raybrig halogen headlights, JDM/Euro spec front blinker assembly with city lights, Brand new T3 headlight eyebrows and C pillar trim. Almost zero rust. A few minor surface rust areas that would be fixed easily with a little sanding and paint.
Not open to trades, but open to a reasonable offer. Will throw in a lot of extra parts if you come close to my asking price. Just needing to thin the herd a bit. Thanks for looking, Alex 360 eight20 two44eight
