1. Moving into a new stage of life and need a truck. As much as I love driving this thing, I feel it no longer suits my lifestyle.
2. Roommate has backed into the rear passenger door
Only 105k miles. This is the V8 package of the 2007 x5, giving it a lot of giddyup. VERY fun to drive and no engine or transmission issues. Previous owner installed an aftermarket exhaust that gives this car some presence on the road. It has a deep beautiful roar to it, if you're into that sort of thing. Previous owner also deleted the air ride suspension and replaced it with a traditional spring suspension, which provides more durability and requires far less maintenance and costs.
Clean brown leather interior with beautiful walnut wood trim. There is a backup camera, but it puts out some strange color transmissions on the screen from time to time. Audio system is perfect. Plenty of space in the rear cargo area, and a cover comes with it that can be easily deployed or removed.
Now for the elephant in the room. The rear passenger door has an obvious dent from a roommate backing into it. This has warped the shape of the door in a way that doesnt allow the top of the door to fully seal to the doorframe. In a heavy rain, this has led to a slight leak back there. I have since applied a stretch of tape along the top to stop all leaking to the inside. It would be a cheap fix for someone who wants to hit a "Pick and Pull" location to find a replacement door and swap it out. Window still works, all electronics have no fault in them. Door still locks.
Initially I intended to sell this for $7k because its been in excellent condition before the door was hit. But I figured $4.5k is a responsible price point given those circumstances. I wanted to replace the door myself from a Pick and Pull, but dont have the time or motivation at the moment. If I do manage to replace the door soon, you'll probably see a price bump on this post.
Feel free to call or text if you're interested in swinging by to check it out. I'm just a few blocks from downtown Bellingham, so Im centrally located.
