Selling my 2000 Ford F250 with 198k miles. It is a Super Cab (half rear cab) long bed (8 ft) model with 4WD. This truck is powered by the legendary 7.3L Powerstroke V8 turbo-diesel motor . These things routinely go 300k or 400k miles with basic maintenance. This truck is bone stock other than an aftermarket air filter. It has never been tuned, overboosted, etc. No signs of blow-by.
We bought the truck about 3 years ago from a guy on Whidbey Island who had owned it for a long time. Since then, we've only put about 10k miles on it, mostly using it for road trips with a slide in camper, towing our boat a couple miles to the downtown launch, and the occasional load of gravel or mulch.
This truck is in excellent mechanical shape. Work we've done since we owned the truck has included two new batteries, a new alternator, all new rear brakes (calipers, rotors, calipers), new emergency brake, all new high pressure fuel lines. Prior owner had also kept great mechanical care of the truck and I've got a folder of service records. Tires have lots of life left in them. Has an aftermarket trailer brake controller installed.
This truck is not a beauty queen (some bits of paint peeling on the bed and hood, and a dent here and there) but the structure is solid and there's no major rust.
We are only selling the truck because we've got a kid on the way and we needed a full 4-door truck. Otherwise, we would have kept this truck for another decade.
