For sale is a vintage "Royal Selangor" pewter fan-shape plaque. It is mounted on a black color (pewter) base.
This pewter plaque is part of the "Reminiscence from the Tang Dynasty Collection". The Chinese Poem by Meng Haoran (a major literary figure of the Tang Dynasty) is surrounded by the river scene, entitled "Overnight along Jiande River", today's Xinan River in Zhejiang Province. It shows the moon by the mountains, a hut, boat and a large tree in the right off-center.
It is about 5.5" wide and 3.25"tall. The base is about 7/8" wide. Asking $29 or best offer.
It is a solid pewter piece, in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or damage or repairs.
No retail packaging/box.
I bought this souvenir during one of my trips to Malaysia in the late 1970's. It had been displayed in our curio cabinet.
