The octagonal plate is about 8¼" x 8¼" hand-crafted in England. It features a sepia tone portrait of the Queen surround by full color crown, royal crest and the notation "Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee, 1952-1977". The plate is bordered by gilding and the Latin notation "DEI . GRATIA . REGINA . FID . DEF . ELIZABETH . II 1977". The plate has a heavily embossed border of the thistle and rose motif.
If you look hard enough, you can a number (very faintly stamped on the back) 6-77. See pictures
