No rips, tears, holes, or odor. There are a few light stains, the worst of which is shown in the last 2 pictures.I don't know what it was, but I couldn't get them out. The location of the stain in the 2nd to last picture is on the back of the left arm, 7" up from bottom of cuff. The location of the stain in the last picture is on the left front, close to the zipper, right at the level of the waist drawstring. There are a few other flecks of the same stain, but they aren't really noticeable. The Gore-Tex lining under the cape (top flap on the front and back), shows age related wear, yellowing and cracks on the seam, but it is functional and is hidden under the cape. Please view the pictures closely, as they are part of the description. All zippers, snaps, hook & loop, and drawstring work as they should.

The TRUE color was hard to capture on camera, the pictures make it look more blue than it is. The True color is shown in the 3rd to last picture, it is more on the green side of teal.
