Columbia 38 Sailboat for Sale - $26,000 (Blaine)

The standing rigging was updated in Port Towsend in 2015 but is quite overbuilt and still quite good.
Sheer served as a live aboard through about 2019 and was regularly sailed between Juneau and Seattle. Since I purchased the boat, its been used mostly to cruise in the San Juans, Canadian Gulf Islands and more recently to Desolation Sound.
The boat is coast guard documented.
Since I purchased the boat, I’ve upgraded a number of systems – she now has a solid bimini with 1200 watts of solid solar panels (the panels fold out once you are away from the dock). I also replaced the transmission, added in a feathering prop, radar, wireless weather station, a fresh-water hand held hot water outdoor cockpit shower and a backup tiller in case the primary wheel steering fails. I also added an indoor and outdoor sound system.
As with any boat this age, she comes with her share of cosmetic blemishes and a few minor leaks through some of the window seals or decks (nothing that couldn’t be fixed with some updated waterproofing on the decks and resealing the windows). She could also use a good scrubbing or cleaning of the sunbrella material and refinishing of the exterior wood.
