Cairdeas is for sale! She is a 1982 Catalina 30, standard masthead Rig Sloop. Cairdeas was well loved! In addition to having her keel reglassed and new keel bolts installed she has also been repowered with a new M 25 Universal diesel that has been very well maintained, the Iron jib now has 365 hours on the clock. Standing rigging is in excellent condition and the chain plates have been transfered inboard and are sound. Sails and sheets are in good running order, lazy Jacks make bringing sail in a breeze. Binacle, Furuno chart plotter and depth sounder are displayed at the helm and auto pilot makes Cairdeas a breeze to single hand, The stern pulpit has been fit with an Equipment roll-bar that keeps the solar, gps, and radar up and out of the way of deck operations. The roll-bar is a great addition as it serves to mount other equipment such as boat hooks, line and safety gear that will be near to hand at the helm but won't impede the Sailing of the boat. Cairdeas has wheel helm and Binnacle with a pop-up teak table but can be converted back to a tiller if desired. Interior has the horse shoe bench that converts to a sleeper spacious Captains bunk and Vberth all interior apolstery is newer and in good shape. Being an Alaskan vessel Cairdeas is fitted with a Newport diesel that keeps the cabin cozy while cruising. Galley is set up with alcohol stove, Big icebox and electric plumbing with 2 water tanks. A propane SeaBq adorns the taft rail. Solar is outfitted with a ProNautic 12volt ans 120 charger that keeps her 2 solid state house batteries and an additional start battery topped off. All batteries hold at 12.4 volts and charge at 14.+ The head is wella maintained with a pump toilet and electric plumbing to the wash basin. Cairdeas spent much of her career sailing between the Puget Sound and the inside passage and is the bees knees for anyone wanting a stout, comfortable cruising vessel and is plenty roomy for anyone seeking an alternative means of living. She is very easy to single hand and has weathered much of what can be expected in the Puget Sound comfortably. Cairdeas is moored in Bellingham at Squalicum Harbor and the slip can be subleased to the buyer for up to a year. Cairdeas also includes a 3hp Mercury 2 stroke and an inflatable tender with a slight leak. This boat is in fine condition, everything works and is a blast to take to the San Jauns and further! I am selling her out of state but am free to communicate about the vessle and can arrange for her to be shown for serious inquires. I spent the entire month of June working on and sailing her, she is turn key!
