Professionally restored by Master Shipwright, double planked 5200 bottom, classic 18' Chris Craft "Riviera", with custom tandem trailer and movable cradle. Details include:
Complete replacement of all wooden structures: top decks and the sides of the hull, including all interior frames and the bottom.
African mahogany wood is used for sides topsides,with Bobinga mahogany for covering boards.
The bottom of the boat has a #5200 rubber sealant bottom. Between the exterior 2 planks, a 6 oz. fiberglass cloth is epoxied with Systems 3 Epoxy.
All backbone material is white oak. including keel, chine logs, transom ring timber, and stem.
Fastenings are all silicon bronze; bolts are of the same materials.
The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt. Engine is Hercules 95 h.p. straight six. All exterior running parts, including the generator, carburetor,and starter motor were rebuilt. The engine has 50+hours, making it officially" broken-in ". The instruments on the dashboard have all been rebuilt by Clawson Classic Instruments; all wiring for the boat is patterned after the original color and style.The voltage regulator is a totally new 12-volt system. .
The interior seats are newly rebuilt, with the original style "box-springs" and covered with horse hair matting and canvas for the interior, with a vinyl maroon tolex red seat covering; the dashboard and interior side panels are also covered with a foamed backed white tolex.
The floor-deck in the interior is a rubber matting with a Velcro mat carpet on top (protection from sand).
The propulsion of the boat has (2) propellers: 11/13 and a 12/12 three blade.
Extra equipment included with the boat: all the running lines, spring-lines,and tow line; 3 boat fenders, 1 large dock fender; 2 wooden paddle-oars,and an up to date fire extinguisher; a rope-boarding ladder; 1 hand bilge pump,and 1 electric bilge pump; 2 boat covers, one for winter and one for summer, or when traveling when on the trailer. Both covers share 8 weighted bags of sand if needed. Also, 2 life jackets and 1 spanner wench for the stuffing box, extra oil filters,and 1 anchor with 40' of line and 1 set of templates for windshield as patterns.
Extra engine parts: 1 six cylinder head, 1generator, 1 starter motor, and1 crankshaft.
The boat trailer: Custom tandem axle trailer, with new tires; a complete rebuild of the brake system: a new surge-brake system completed, with new brake lines and new brake shoes; also included were a complete set of Timken bearings mounted to all axles and greased. There are complete new brake lights and wire system. The trailer is custom-built, with chine-boards and adjustable independent pads, making it a very soft ride, (or) boat can be stored on the trailer for long periods of time without any harm.
