Poort Technologies Inc. is a Vancouver BC manufacturing and design firm producing high-design enclosures for iPad. Its standard molds can be moved to the USA or anywhere for production by a plastic injection contractor.
Using premium plastic injection molding, Poort has designed and produced two advanced carbon steel molds (4400 lbs each). These highest quality injection molds are completed and in production. The advantages of the Poort design uniquely enable mounting over ceramic tile (or any backsplash) in kitchens or work areas, and eliminates visible cables, permitting clean installations that preserve precious counter space. Poort enclosures keep the iPad charged and portable, using just 5V/10W anywhere they are mounted.
Ideal for low power and solar applications, they enable a fixed-appliance form factor for iPads that combines functions such as messaging server, video phone and entertainment hub. Often using re-purposed legacy iPads, Poorts animate kitchens and work areas, with a distinctive ambience and versatility that simple iPad stands cannot match.
No plastics industry knowledge is necessary because Poort utilizes a contract manufacturer is in Richmond BC, so the design and maintenance of the moulds are done by that contractor. The company has a small warehouse in Abbotsford.
The new owner needs only to administer sales and new design introductions, while operations and packaging can be located anywhere. With a very low overhead and no debt, there are no employee salaries nor leases to be assumed.
A new production run has been completed after a successful test marketing on Amazon. New product is now ready for your market testing. The intended market identified to date would be listings on Shopify using Facebook advertising, toward wholesale distribution of case lots.
