We also have 39" long shelf levels (half length extensions)
The shelves are configurable so that 2+ units can be connected by sharing the middle upright piece. Buy only what you need and save.
No need to go out and cut plywood. These units are READY TO GO. The most common number of shelf levels is 3 or 4 per unit. Usually 3 will suffice if you use the floor as the bottom shelf.
