This model was a Consumer Reports top pick. I've used it for short periods of our peak NW summer heat for a few years and stored it inside during the off-season, which is most of the time. It's is very clean and works as well as it did when it was new. After this air conditioner unit sat fully unused last summer, I've decided I need to let it go. It comes with a remote control and several convenient features to run it according to your efficiency preferences. Energy Star rated. The side accordion-style shutters / wings slide out to fill open window space for a more efficient seal. Remote control and manual included.
