I have a freestanding fireplace manufactured by Country Stoves. Manufactured in 1994. Might need a new gas valve.
The pilot light wouldn't stay lit so I tried replacing the thermopile. That didn't fix the problem so I'm guessing the gas valve needs to be replaced. Since we don't use it anymore I decided to sell it to someone who has the time to fix it. Its a pretty simple design and should be fairly easy to fix. When it was working it really pumped out the heat.
It's set up for natural gas right now but the new pilot assembly I bought has the adapter for propane.
There's a plug in coming out the back but that's just to power a little fan. Everything but the fan will still work in the event of a power outage.
There's also terminals on the gas valve were you can hook up a thermostat.
Let me know if you're interested or have any questions. Thanks!
