I really wanted to be right about somebody for once, and I wanted that somebody to be you. I guess that just wasn't in the cards. But I can't say that it resulted from a lack of effort on my part, though. I had all of my defenses down, and I realize now that in retrospect, that was a huge risk to take. I read the poem "Already Gone" and thought you might like to read "A Million Times" by "Unknown" author.
If it was not for the darkness that sometimes envelops both my mind and body, perhaps I could write a lovely poem? Darkness aside, I would write about a relationship where love came first, when in fact, she, as mentor (and friend), was meant to instead come first; here, there is always a happy ending.

Today, it is her memory that strives to reject the darkness, and at times, stands to brighten my world. Nevertheless, if I could only know it's her and tell her that I want nothing from her, except to tell her I will continue to cherish the gift she has given me: For she is the love of my life, and I don't even know her.

When you decided to run a shopping cart full of garbage and a 50 gallon trash can full of glass recycling to the top of my hill of a driveway and let it come crashing down (which, as you probably noticed, was still making considerable noise when you were about a block away as all manners of beer cans, bottles, and other shattered stuff slowly settled it's way down the driveway) at 1:20 in the god damned morning, well, I just wasn't sure what to do.

I would like to first say 'thank you'. You see, I have been worried lately that I have been turning into somewhat of a softie. Somewhat of a loser/nobody who sits around all day and doesn't know what it means to do boring, gross, uncomfortable tasks. But then I realized as I spent the last half an hour outside in flip flops (which was my fault, not yours, though you see, I had little time to react and get my ass outside so shoe selection wasn't my priority) that that's not the case. Because the thing going through my mind as I got glass shards and who knows what kind of slimy recycling shit all over my hands in the cold dark of my driveway wasn't "oh fuck the world". It was actually "oh wow the air smells really good". Oh, and "What a pretty night". So thanks for helping me realize that no, I'm not a soft, complacent bitch like I thought. I've still got it! Yeah!

Now, there was ONE other thing going through my head. And it was the question "I wonder if that squad car that just went by as a result of my call to 911 ever did catch up with you?". Well, I'm going to make a quick judgement about you and your character, even though I hate to do so, because doing so is usually inaccurate and it can be rude. Though, to be honest, I'm not worried about either right now because a) you demonstrated what kind of person you are (I believe the french use the term "le shithead"), and b) You, sirs, are rude.

So here is my judgement. I bet the cop car DID find you. Because not only are you *stupid* enough to keep walking down Lakeway drive moments after you committed what is quite obviously an act of vandalism, but you are *stupid* enough to have done it in the first place. Honestly, intoxication is something that I haven't ruled out. But to be quite truthful with you, I haven't assumed that you WERE drunk at the time (or high, or whatever). I just wonder what brought it on? Who sees a whole huge mess of stuff and thinks to themselves, "my god it would be funny to make the honest, hardworking, nice, and compassionate citizen that lives here have a fuck of a time cleaning that up at 1:30 in the morning!".

Tee hee, sirs. Tee hee.

Now, the reason that I posted this in the m4w section of craigslist is because I take you for the kind of people that, if you're smart enough to even click a mouse (again, making no assumptions here), would be carousing on here all day looking for chicks that dig your sweet-ass, gangster hoodie and baggy jeans that are too big for you, but that's okay because it's balanced out by those wide-brimmed, stupid-ass hats that you wear because you like to pretend that you're a gangster. But trust me, your tough-talk and baggy gangster clothing do nothing more than to make you look like the ignorant, cheap bastards that you are.

I picked all of the recycling up, except for several of the huge shards of shattered glass, which I will get tomorrow, hopefully before our dog runs out and makes his feet bleed on them when all he wants to do is go to the bathroom.

Getting the voicemail from my doctor's that you'd found an appointment card for their office, and then having the secretary call everyone scheduled for that day to see if they were missing a purse. Just wow.. this whole thing was actually a really interesting experience in the end. Eeven a week of being dependent on my companion to get around B'ham was a kind of cool experiencing of each other that would've never happened if my monocular weren't missing.

Anyway, I'm not telling you all this to guilt trip, but rather to emphasize how incredibly wonderful it was to have my art and freedom back. :) I don't think you could have possibly known how significant what you took in impulse, or chose to return would be.

i don't know what happened but it left me feeling kind of lame.
rejected, dejected, suspected of being infected. naw, not that bad. i just like a cute rhyme.
posting here probably isn't doing me any favors but at least i can feel vague and anonymous about venting my woes.

i'm guessing there were circumstances, i wish they knew what they were. did i do something wrong? i don't understand. i thought we were getting along pretty well.
maybe we will be able to talk again after the break, but i wish i knew whether or not i should get my hopes up. i probably i shouldn't count on it because i know how expectations can often lead to disappointment. but who knows, maybe fortune will smile on me in this silly little matter. if not, i guess no harm done. we can always play the game of awkwardly avoiding eye contact whenever we see each other around campus, if you're into that sort of thing (though, personally, i'd rather not.)

i hope to god you don't guess at who i am if you do happen to read this. i am regretting this decision already. but it's not often i meet someone i can talk to very easily in this town and i think it would be a shame to lose a friendship that has only barely begun. but this is not up to me. sometimes interactions between two people are only meant to be brief and fleeting. if this is the case, than i will resume my reclusive ways without complaint.

i am almost positive that i've said to much. sometimes that happens. oh well.
everybody is a little strange.

What was it, over 13 years ago? Sometimes it seems like only last week; other times it feels like an entire lifetime ago. I can't help but to think of you from time to time. You were a neat woman. I adored you. I think I do understand the what and why of that time from your point of view. How very close we came to a very different future for both of us. I truly had my things packed and was ready that morning!
